Avalanche launched by Chevrolet is a vehicle capable of being adopted for different uses. It combines the capability of a SUV to comfortably seat a few passengers with that of a pickup truck to hold some cargo. What sets it apart from other full size SUVs is its unique fold-down mid-gate. This feature allows a six passenger SUV to be converted to a three passenger pickup with substantial 8 foot cargo capacity. These attributes made it a marketing success. It was offered in three trim levels. It is reported to be comfortable and smooth in ride which is not very common in such multi-purpose vehicles.
If you were to take away the components of a car one by one when would it stop looking like a car? Well it would depend on which components you start with. Components that perform but are not visible will not affect the looks of the car. But if you were to take away a component that performs and is visible then it would affect the looks significantly. And if you took away a component that is very visible the impact would be dramatic. For example if you remove the cars headlights suddenly it ceases to look like a means of transport.
Owning a car or vehicle cuts across class and is widespread. Such an expansion of ownership could not have been imagined some decades back. Cars are now required by a very wide section of populace. It helps them in their routine day to day functions as also in their jobs or professions whatever those may be. Car makers are alive to this situation.
There is a lot of competition in the market in the mid-size sedan segment of cars. Manufacturers try to go one up on their rivals. Amidst such a tough scenario Mazda 6 has been able to create a niche for itself as a car which inspires enthusiasm and strong attachment. It is a driver friendly car compliant and neat in its movements.
Most fog lights available in the market have a yellow colored beam. And it is not clear why it is so. It maybe that someone thought that yellow colored light penetrates the fog better since it doesn't scatter as much as white light. But the water droplets in fog are quite large and the scattering will be independent of the wavelength and the yellow light will not penetrate further than other light colors. It maybe that the lights were made to look different from ordinary headlights and the yellow color caught on and became an industry standard. Whatever maybe the reason the color of the fog light is less important than the way they are mounted on the car.
If you take a car and drive it at its limits sometimes the suspension is not stable enough and the feeling you get is the car isn't very steady. Although this is unlikely to lead to the car losing its balance but it is not a very pleasant feeling to sit in a car that is moving at high speeds but is not very steady. Now you may have in fact boosted the performance of your car through several improvements after you bought the car. And as the car performance got better you will have needed to make sure the suspension of the car kept pace. One great option you have to make the car more stable is a strut bar.
On an island as small as Britain, it's very easy to stumble across one historic road or another whilst carrying out transport contracts. These ancient Roman roads or old trap roads intended for horse and carriage can tell us a lot about Britain's history. Here is a selection of my favourite roads in Britain; some of them have a past so interesting that I could almost forgive them for the odd traffic jam:
